Would be a great agility candidate.
Jake loves playing in the pool, tug of war, keep away and chase - an all around fun guy!
He likes to give hugs and with his soft, beautiful coat, you will enjoy petting and cuddling him.
House trained.
Crate trained.
Dog friendly with female dogs. Not a fan of dominant male dogs.
Intelligent and highly trainable boy has learned basic commands 'sit, stay, come, kennel' and would love to learn more if taught.
You can actually 'see' his mind working and focusing on you when you ask him to do something.
Walks well on leash.
Sleeps through the night on his own bed.
Good car rider.
Not a big barker, but will let you know he wants to go outside to potty or play.
We are recommending a home with children 10 and older, just due to his size and playfulness.
He has a healthy prey drive, so we will not be adopting him to a home with cats.
A home with a fully fenced yard, where he will get daily exercise outside of the yard would be best.
Jake is 60 lbs. neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.
A transport fee from Texas is added onto the adoption fee and depends on destination.
If you are interested in adding Jake to your family, you may fill out our application on our website at: https://www.westernaustralianshepherdrescue.com/adoption-application.html. We only schedule meet n greets with a completed application that includes reference checks and a home visit.
